Welcome to Baja Blessing
Baja Blessing exists to strengthen and empower the body of Christ in Mexico to spread the gospel everywhere, among all nations and peoples. Since 1959, when the Mishler family followed God’s call from Oregon to Baja California Sur, they began spreading the blessing of the Lord wherever they went – by car, by small plane – however they could. The fruit of their ministry continues to thrive today.
Even now, our family continues this legacy of missions in Mexico. We invite you to get involved with our ministries and be part of this incredible journey, because we are blessed to be a blessing! Your support and participation can make a significant difference in the lives of pastors and their communities – and ultimately the nations! Join us in spreading God’s love and blessings throughout Baja and beyond.

Nate and Tara Gerig cru Cross
Nate and Tara have served as missionaries for ever the past 10 years in a variety of roles. Tara served at the University of Oregon reaching the students on campus for Christ, while Nate served at a local church. Currently they are serving as Valor Staff, serving the universities in the Greater Bay Area of California. They are trusting the Lord to establish a healthy ministry on each campus for ROTC Cadets and Veterans. They are also believing God to raise up leaders and mission minded individuals who will carry the gospel with them and follow Jesus as they lead in our military all over the world.
Nate and Tara currently live in California with their 3 boys.

DEEPEN YOUR FAITH — EXPAND YOUR SERVICE
Campuses that we are currently active on or hoping to be working on soon include: San Jose State University, Cal Berkeley, UC Davis, San Francisco State University, Sacramento State University, Fresno State University, and Santa Clara University.
We are missionaries who actively take Jesus to our military on the college campus. God has opened doors for us to help all 4 branches of the US military ROTC programs to train Cadets in spiritual readiness.
We use The Bible and other resources to share the spiritual truth of life in Christ for readiness in battle and leadership.
Our mission is for each Cadet and Veteran attending college in the greater Bay Area of California to have an opportunity to hear about and receive Christ.
Our strategy is to actively share Christ through outreaches, small group Bible studies, retreats, discipleship and military centered media. Our hope is to coach cadets and veterans in learning how to integrate their military life and faith in Jesus. When cadets do this well, it enhances what they are already learning through their training — discipline, integrity, devotion, and resilience — sending them into their careers with increased effectiveness as a military officer.
God has blessed our efforts and we have experienced a harvest of young people receiving and growing in their faith in Jesus. These young people are eager to use their faith in Jesus to help shape their life and military service.
